Bernhard Güth
Born in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany. He worked at some of the most famous restaurants in Europe and New York as Gualterio Marchesi in Milan Italy (the first 3 stars Michelin in Italy), Tantris in Munich Germany a 3 stars Michelin too and in New York at Bouley Restaurant and Jean Claude Restaurant the last one as Executive Chef. In 1995 he brought to Puerto Vallarta a fresh perspective on the European and Mediterranean cuisine to finally open Trio on August 14th 1997 where he put together all the expertise he had gain after years of hardwork and the love to cook and experiment new flavors, aromas and textures
Ulf Henriksson
Born in Kalix, Sweden. His formal experience in his native Sweden, in Stockholm then he traveled to Australia anb gained experience working in Sydney .In 1990 at Restaurant Vier Jahreszeiten (16/20 Gault Millau) at the Hotel Inter-Continental in Vienna, Austria as a Chef de Partie, then he move to St Moritz, Switzerland at the Suvretta House, one of the most luxury hotels in that country. In 1992, he worked at Palace Hotel in Gstaad, Switzerland.
The same year, he had the opportunity to explore the new continent and discover Puerto Vallarta as Executive Chef at the Hotel Hyatt Coral Grand and in 1993 the jump to the Westin Regina until 1995 when he return to Europe at the Hotel Inter Continental in Helsinki, Finland .In 1999, he moved again to America at the Camino Real Inter-Continental Hotels in San Salvador and San José de Costa Rica to finally joined Trio as a partner in October 2001.
Trio , an unique culinary fusion of two European chefs with impressive professional background enhances as the only Restaurant in town with two well recognized chef-owners behind the stove and positions Trio as the pillar of avant-garde dining in Puerto Vallarta.
In 2004, Vitea a neo classic oceanfront bistro in the heart of town on beachfront linking the Malecon with the pedestrian over River Cuale, open as Trio's sister restaurant.
